Time to search for the skull of Adam?

Believed by many to be a skull from a descendent of Adam.

There is an old tradition about the place where Jesus was crucified - the storied 'Place of the Skull'.   That is the name for the specific location near the city of Jerusalem where the cross of Jesus was reportedly raised up with the Son of God nailed to it.  It is a very strange tradition indeed; there are some ancient writings which say that the reason that this place was named 'the Place of the Skull' is that it is the place where the skull of our ancestor Adam was housed after the great flood.
Why would Adam's skull have been there in Jerusalem?  Certainly, that is a strange idea, right?  So, should anyone believe such a claim?  Well, maybe.  It is an idea that was believed by a fair number of people many hundreds of years ago.
Why is Adam's skull there?  An explanation has survived:  it was anciently written by some sources, just to summarize what will follow, that Noah gathered up and gave away certain 'treasures' if you will to each of his three sons.  These were items brought for safe keeping aboard the Ark of Noah, a few very sacred things, very special objects at the least, saved from the ravages and destruction of the Great World-wide Flood.
Certain older writers were well familiar with the notion or legend:  Cyprian of Carthage, a Berber from the N. African city of Carthage who was a noted and influential early church writer (died in 258 A.D.), and Ambrose (an Italian governor and bishop who died in  397 A.D.), and Jerome (died in A.D. 420, was a major writer and Bible translator who was born in Dalmatia/today's Croatia and died in Bethlehem, Israel) all mentioned the belief that Adam was buried in Golgotha/Calvary (Golgotha means 'a skull' in Hebrew and the word Calvaria is a Latin word meaning 'a skull'.)
This legend is an old belief which long preceded these mentioned writers as well.  It was believed by Jews of Jesus' time that the mysterious high priest Melchizedek had been given possession of this skull of Adam by Shem, Noah's son, and had himself buried it in Salem (later called Jerusalem.)  Melchizedek was alive in Abraham's day, they knew each other, and Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek as he returned from defeating a group of kings that had kidnapped Lot.  That is detailed in the book of Genesis (the 1900's B.C. is probably the time period where Abraham lived out most of his 175-year life.)
So, this is just a legend I suppose.  Some contend that Jesus' blood ran down to the ground from the cross, dripped down through a crack in the rock made by an earthquake that occurred while he was hanging there, and dripping down through the crack it dripped upon the skull of Adam.  (Ron Wyatt reported that this same thing actually happened to the Ark of the Covenant in a cave beneath the cross.)  It would be very poetic and profound if it had dripped down upon either.
Now here is a consideration:  at this point in history, don't several major religions have much to gain by making a concerted search for this rumored 'skull of Adam'?  The Muslims would be winners if it was found; it would be clear that the scientific explanation of Earth's existence was probably not correct.  This would strengthen the Muslim claim to their faith being the truth.  The same is true of the Jews:  the discovery of Adam's skull would greatly strengthen their claims, though the implication of having Jesus' blood on it might be troubling for them.   And for Christians it is a complete win also if Adam's skull were to be found.
Why mention this?  All three major religions controlling property or having some claim to Mt. Zion and Jerusalem would be honoring Yahweh, the Holy Father of us all, if Adam's skull were found.  All three faiths believe in Adam and Eve.  Many in our day believe nothing 'Biblical'.  So, searching for and finding Adam's skull would not solve the differences between Muslim, Jew, and Christian, but all three faiths would greatly honor God by making a thorough, focused, respectful search for this storied relic and finding it.
There are a great many billionaires on Earth today, and many more millionaires as well.  What an accomplishment if one of them or a group of them worked to convince government and to provide funding for a joint effort between the faiths, with all three faiths having as many monitors and witnesses to every aspect of the search as they wished, video-documenting it all.   Nearly all of the human population would be interested in the progress of such a search.  What greater thing could be accomplished with a personal fortune?  What greater feather in the cap could exist for any government or religious leader?  It would be the greatest search of all time, perhaps.  And one religion need not impede the other.  All would win if the skull was found.
I would expect that such a skull might not look very 'human'.  Only one family crossed over on Noah's ark.  They may have been the shortest family on Earth, or the tallest, the most robust, or the frailest.  Adam, on the other hand, could have had an appearance, a physical appearance, not shared by any passenger on the ark.  So, if a skull is found, its very appearance might suggest it belonged to Adam.  Even more exciting, there are a great number of people that can use a skull to recreate the living appearance of a person now.  We might get a very good idea of what Adam looked like in the flesh.  There might even be surviving DNA.  And the secret to Adam's 930-year longevity might even be discovered.
We ought to push for this!  Does anyone with money or connections read this site?  Or a real go-getter perhaps?  We have so many great scientific tools today for peering into rock, etc.  We could perhaps take this on and obtain success, and again (best of all) all three major Jerusalem faiths could cooperate in the effort without losing face for their faith if it succeeds.  All of the Abrahamic faiths are winners if Adam is found.
